Wish I could've seen it. Even warranted a short piece on the news.

First blood to England. Shame it's not real cricket.

Indeed.
Convincingly.
So they can play cricket-lite. Wake me up for the real Ashes.

Hohoho! Australia comprehensively beaten by Somerset! Record run chase, Aus made 342 in their 50, Somerset chased it down in 46.5! Kasprowicz - 8 overs, 0 for 89 Watson - 8.5 overs, 1 for 72 (this one pleases me greatly, as I think Watson is over-rated) Apparently Lee injured his shoulder during the game as well.

Yup.
Carried by Smith + Jayasuriya.
Thought you liked Kasprowicz.
Ah well. Bring on the real stuff.

I do like Kasprowicz. Still, his figures were worth pointing out. A useless fact here - Kasprowicz' 8 overs for 89 are the third worst figures in List-A history for an 8 over spell. What do you think of Watson?

Well.
There you go.
Our one day team doesn't fill me with confidence at the moment. Just something missing I think. Still, we'll pick it up. And the Tests should be better for us; I think the format suits us better. Even during our recent one day woes we've still been pretty unbeatable in Tests. ....Yeah. I don't know.
Watson? Don't mind him. Hardly world class, but offers a bit in the batting and some variety in the bowling. Got a good slower ball (though slight tendency to overuse it), and he's a handy enough death bowler, if he gets it right.

Paul Collingwood - best all-round performance in an ODI ever. 112* and 6/31 (which are the best bowling figures for England in ODIs as well). 391/4 ! Ashraful in the runs as well, making the fastest 50 by a Bangladeshi (21 balls) on the way to 94 from 52.

So I see. Not a bad debut for Chris Tremlett too; 4/32. Promising signs for everyone who's not Australian

The natural order is restored.
This pleases me.
Of course I'm the only one (lousy dominant Australia).

Yep.
Shame about the result.
Not that I'm bitter. But seriously, who likes a draw?
