I know we have several cricket threads, but this can perhaps be the one.
Dasa, shame about India.
Sounds like it was a cracking match though.

Indeed sounds so. Pakistan played well though. Expect Pakistan to win the ODIs 4-2.

Indeed. India has been a mediocre ODI team for a while though.

content.cricinfo.com/india/content/story/208353.htmlTee hee. Although probably nothing you didn't already know dasa. Vish: next time you're going to a neutral game (ie not Collingwood), give us a ring. I want to see what it's like. No Saturday afternoons though, probably.

Haha. Nothing new as you said, but still amusing that someone can be so upfront.
I hope Greg Chappell is the next coach.

Been keeping up with South Africa in the Windies? Antigua does it again.. Gayle 317. They really need to re-lay the pitch there... flattest wicket in the world.

It would certainly appear that way.
Let's have a look shall we:
SA 1st Innings: de Villiers 114 Smith 126 Prince 131 Kallis 147 Total 6 dec for 588
WI 1st Innings: Bravo 107 Chanderpaul 127 Sarwan 127 and of course, Gayle 317 Total 747
Damn. Has that always been the case in Antigua? Gotta be some kind of record.

Damn. Has that always been the case in Antigua? Gotta be some kind of record. Antigua has been very batsman-friendly for a long time. West Indies made the 418/7 in the 4th innings to win against Australia there...would hardly have been possible on a proper pitch. It is a record, most centuries in a match. 7 was the previous record, done in a few matches. What annoys me about this Test is, the situation'll be similar to what it was when England toured. Windies performed horribly for the 3 matches beforehand, then they come to Antigua, Lara makes 400* and everyone forgets how bad the team is. It'll be the same here, come to Antigua, Gayle makes 317, everything looks good... forgetting the atrocious batting in the 2 Tests before.

Uh, true.
They should either change the pitch or move the Antigua test to the start of every Caribbean tour.
WI did bat terribly in the other tests.
Another interesting tidbit (that you probably already know ;D:) In WI's first innings in Antigua, every South African player bowled. Even Boucher threw the gloves off (with de Villiers in the team, why not?) and managed to capture the wicket of centurion Bravo.
Probably not a record. But still interesting.

Ahh yes, not quite a record. Been done three times before I think. Actually, last time India played in Antigua (another horribly boring draw), all 11 Indians had a bowl. Chanerpaul made a century off 500odd balls in that match.
Boucher did claim one record - most Tests played before having his first bowl, and most Tests before taking his first wicket.
