I think he's good, only if he has some supply from what i've seen he's very good in the air on set pieces.

england have a nut in charge. he's taking about 5 players who are currently injured(green, king, jenas, owen, rooney and four who have had long term injures this season(downing, hargreave, a.cole and bridge), and a 17yo who has never played a game in the top flight. i agree with him taking lennon, but SWP should still be in the squad. definately a no for walcott. might be good in the future, but the world cup is not the place for him, especially since he hasnt played in the top flight since jan and since two of the other four strikers are currently injured and the other cant score goals. cant understand how both hargreave and jenas made the squad instead of another striker. doth defore and bent are very unlucky, and bent even more so cause he isnt even on standby. and where the hell is ledley king. know he's injured but still a better option than campbell or hargreaves or jenas. thank god australia have hiddink and yes toni is good. a traditional english centre forward but has decent ball skills

Poor Daren Bent. Englands highest scorer in the EPL. And Andy Johnson gets on the reserve list! - That makes no sense! Johnson is the type of player who needs the whole team to play through him. Bent is the tyoe that can bring other players into the game.
I guess we will see how Walcott will go soon in the friendlies. I wont write him off as he has been rated as the next Rooney for ages and the stuff I saw of him as Southampton was awesome.
I'm ready to concede that I was wrong about J.Cole being a hack.
Him and Gerrard are going to give Englands only chance in getting past the 2nd round. They have no hope without Rooney. Factimuno.
Sheva injured?

sheva out possibly for a month. maybe longer. can never tell with these injuries
as for bent, yeah i feel sorry for him. dont know why he wasnt at lesat in the standby list, but obviously didnt make enough of an impact in the last friendly.
the thing with walcott is, if he were the 5th choice striker then its ok. take him to get experience. if he had played a dozen games for arsenal then ok. but with the two main strikers injured and the thrid one going by the name of peter crouch its too much of a gamble. and yeah joe cole has done well this season. one of the first names on my EPL team of the season

Could you remeber me talking to you[gomo] and rahool about Zigic? He is a taller version of Crouch that has skills that are just as good. I don't think he looks like a retard though. I'll have to check up on that.
Zigic & Kezman can be the type of partnership that works so well as we saw in the Euros with Koller & Baros + you would think most of the creativity would come from Stankjovich eh?

rooney will not be fit in 3 wks. earliest is middle of june, but even that is being hopefull.
they saw a picture of him and smith on a bike and are jumping to conclusions. but he can ride cause its not putting any pressure on his toes, and it will help to keep him fit. remember he is an elite athelete. its takes him a lot longer to get to his prefect condition than it would say you or i

The France Squad PARIS, May 14 (Reuters) - France coach Raymond Domenech on Sunday named two uncapped players in Franck Ribery and Pascal Chimbonda in his 23-man squad for the World Cup finals.
Domenech had faced heavy pressure to call up Olympique Marseille's Franck Ribery, a 23-year-old attacking midfielder widely regarded as the finest French player in Ligue 1 this season.
The choice of Chimbonda, a 27-year-old defender who plays for Wigan Athletic in the Premier League, came as a total surprise. He handed in a transfer request moments after the team's final game of the season and is a target for Tottenham Hotspur.
Squad:
Goalkeepers: Fabien Barthez (Olympique Marseille), Gregory Coupet (Olympique Lyon), Mickael Landreau (Nantes)
Defenders: Eric Abidal (Olympique Lyon), Jean-Alain Boumsong (Newcastle United), Pascal Chimbonda (Wigan Athletic), William Gallas (Chelsea), Gael Givet (Monaco) Willy Sagnol (Bayern Munich), Mikael Silvestre (Manchester United), Lilian Thuram (Juventus)
Midfielders: Vikash Dhorasoo (Paris St Germain), Alou Diarra (Racing Lens), Claude Makelele (Chelsea), Florent Malouda (Olympique Lyon), Patrick Vieira (Juventus), Zinedine Zidane (Real Madrid).
Strikers: Djibril Cisse (Liverpool), Thierry Henry (Arsenal), Franck Ribery (Olympique Marseille), Louis Saha (Manchester United), David Trezeguet (Juventus), Sylvain Wiltord (Olympique Lyon)..[/quote]
Ribery included. Thats huge for them. France need to play him if they are a chance.
