Damn all this class. We can't even succeed at failing.
Sorry for forgetting Johnno and Guy. Johnno has definitely grown on me of late-- pure working-class class.

Damn this year.
It would have to be the worst bunch of teams in for a long time.
Brisbane - Yardstick. Adelaide - Nobodies. Carlton - Carlton. St Kilda - All talent and grunt. No brains. Freo - Soft-Cocks. WCE - Jokes. Melbourne - Rate em' Geelong - Overated. Essendon - Overated. Hawthawn - < Collingwood. North - No-Hopers. Richmond - No-Hopers. Sydney - Inconsistant. Port - Chokers. WB - No Hopers. Collingwood - Average.
What a joke.
I WANT A PRIORITY PICK!
11 games WILL get you a gig in the finals.
That Adelaide win will fuck us up for a few years.

The Roos win didn't help either.
Your football brain's better than mine, so I'll ask you: what needs fixing (that priority picks can fix)?
I'm still happy about being above Hawthorn (and Carlton!)
Bah, it's all too complicated for someone as one-eyed as me.

The Roos win didn't help either. Methinks the Roos win wouldn't have happened if we won Vs. Adelaide. Your football brain's better than mine, so I'll ask you: what needs fixing (that priority picks can fix)? * KPP backmen.Presti was recruited as a CHF and by luck and hard work became a FB. Wakes was a delistee. These are are defensive lynch pins. They ain't getting any younger. As much as I love the fella, Presti will be good (very good) trade bait. You don't get high quality KPP whilst finishing in the finals. You need high quality KPP to win GF's. But on the flip side we do have Brent Hall who might just be a gem and become a CHB for us. * Buckleys replacement. Brett Deledio/Chris Judd. * Midfield class.Brett Deledio/Chris Judd. * Midfield pace.Brett Deledio/Chris Judd. Presti + Lockyer + 1st Rounder = Chris Judd? What do you think? Winning is just papering over the cracks which will make us happy in the short term but fuck us over in the long term. and we will be 2nd best again. and again........... Sucks don't it? (What do you think?) I'm still happy about being above Hawthorn (and Carlton!) Perfect aint it? Low enough for good picks but above both of the scum.

BTW, If we had traded for N.Brown [NOT N.Stevens], we would be top 2.
No Doubt about it.
AND finishing last means that you get the No.1 uncontracted player.
There should be a few quality Saints in that draft.

Sorry, not all that knowledgeable about tradeability and suchlike. Needless to say it would take significant sacrifice on our part to secure a Judd. It's funny how everyone's talking up our sept chances now after just two kinda lacklustre wins (esp. v crows). I still don't see us winning enough games to get there (although there's talk of the finals bar being lower than last year, in the order of 11-12 games). Don't see it happening. Although we'll beat the eagles. Boy, I'm looking forward to rd 22 vs Carlton; if we're in similar positions to now, with priority picks possibly on the line, it could well turn into a farce. Gotta love a farce. PS Enjoyed Rob Walls' scathing article on Hawthorn yesterday. Burn! PPS are you going to the reunion on 18th July? I will be in town, but flight time means I won't be able to have much time there. Please let me know if you're going, so I can push back the flight if I need to. Cheers

A win is a win.
My opinion hasn't changed on the methods of getting Buckley's replacement.
For example, I believe we will become a much better team with Buclkey in the side.
Right now. This is what we will be like w/o Buckley in the future.
A side that wins ugly and scores low. (We have only scored > 100 pts once V. Bulldogs and we have never put a team away.)
Scary when we don't have replacements for him AND Burns who is just as important as Bucks.
Pessemistic I know.
But so very realistic.
What are your opinions [Yes, Dasa, Gomesh, you two/too]

True. Buckleyless present does not bode well for for Buckleyless/Burnsless future. The difference between with and without Burns (Fraser, Lockyer, etc) was marked.
A good low finish is definitely what we need, to recapture that early season form. See it happening now?
Hmm.
