Origin of Symmetry- Muse ($29.95) After extensive searching, I have finally found it. I don't know what surprised me more, that I got it at last, or that I found it in the Myer at Rundle Mall ;D Have had a listen; despite your claims that To tell you the truth, I don't believe you would like OOS to the extent I do IMO. ...I was thoroughly impressed by it. Dark and desperate in the beginning, the last few tracks are also top notch. Pretty sure I've heard 'Feeling Good' before on a Ford Falcon ad or something. I don't mind that song, and Muse make it even better. Many reviewers have stated that Absolution is there best album. Easily as good as Absolution. Am not familiar enough with it to name any standout tracks, but warmed immediately to Darkshines. BTW Good work on Big Fat etc. Thought you'd like it. Final is this thursday.

My thoughts exactly. Just goes to show, good things come to those who have given up hope. OOS shits over Absolution. Wouldn't quite say that. Although it is definitely quality. I'm not forsaking Absolution quite yet.

Wouldn't quite say that. Although it is definitely quality. I'm not forsaking Absolution quite yet. I will. OoS shits over Absolution. Why you ask there? Absolution doesn't have any killer tracks. Only great head-banging moments ( Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria.......), and below average ballad (by Muse's standards). Solid silver. OOS, Is pure gold. I can think of 4 tracks right now that are killer tracks on OoS Can you guess which ones? ?? By the way, I don't throw shit about anymore. Especially when it is written, and now since Muse is known. I wasn't joking about Junior Senior! Rundle Mall. Te He, Te He. It's next to Football Park. Te He, Te He, Te He!

I bumped into an old school friend and it seems that he is a RJD2 fan and is also going to see him.
It is at the Prince of Wales on either the 8 or 12th of April.

Only great head-banging moments ( Stockholm Syndrome, Hysteria.......), and below average ballad (by Muse's standards). Well said. I was wondering how to describe them. OOS, Is pure gold. I can think of 4 tracks right now that are killer tracks on OoS Can you guess which ones? ?? Not quite au fait with it just yet, but two do spring to mind. 'New Born' (so killer it should have a price on its head) and 'Bliss' (Muse does joyful, and it still kicks ass). Still like Darkshines, and 'Citizen Erased' has grown on me, as well as 'Feeling Good' (BTW I think it was a Toyota Avalon, not a Ford Falcon). Hope I got at least one. Had another listen to Absolution today; think I can see what you mean. Struck me as kinda, shall we say, conventional now that I have experienced OoS (mind you, that would be akin to appearing right-wing next to GW Bush). The... great head-banging moments ...are truly great, but OoS is something more. We have one truly special album on our hands. Rundle Mall. Te He, Te He. It's next to Football Park. Te He, Te He, Te He! My mum was with me. [insert several 'Te-He' s here] She was surprisingly enthusiatic about my quest for this album. She was flipping thru the rack and went right past it. Luckily I had seen the cover before and was able to pluck it.

You got em' New Born is probably the most underated rock song in history. Words cannot describe how awesome that song is. They simply can't Oh, what would I give to see what's inside the mind of Matt Bellamy!Bliss is bliss. Feeling good is one of the best covers your ears will ever hear. and the start of Citezen Erazed gets me pumped everytime. I have listened to each of these songs so many times, yet I ain't going to slow down. BTW, Absolution was playing in the background whilst I was waiting for the shows to start yesterday and it just doesn't have the killer punch. ...are truly great, but OoS is something more. We have one truly special album on our hands. I told ya. I may be stoooopid but I know my muzak.

You got em' New Born is probably the most underated rock song in history. Words cannot describe how awesome that song is. They simply can't I knew it was a special song as soon as I heard it. I usually like the first track on CDs, but it usually isn't my favourite. Here I believe may be the exception. Oh, what would I give to see what's inside the mind of Matt Bellamy! Read somewhere he's a bit of an eccentric (name me one genius, musical or otherwise, who isn't) That it is. Happy music will never be the same for me Feeling good is one of the best covers your ears will ever hear. No arguments here. and the start of Citezen Erazed gets me pumped everytime. I like the ending too. Very sweet. I have listened to each of these songs so many times, yet I ain't going to slow down. I look forward to many more happy listenings also. BTW, Absolution was playing in the background whilst I was waiting for the shows to start yesterday and it just doesn't have the killer punch. '...was blind, but now I see...' I told ya. I may be stoooopid but I know my muzak. I bow before you, o doyen of 'innovative and listenable music' (I think that's what you said, can't be bothered finding it).

I missed it. Who underrated it? I think it is brilliant.Had you ever heard of it before recentley? ? ? Whilst shit like Nickleback and 3 doors down is regarded as cool rock. Sweet dude. I don't think it's underrated as such, but that shit such as Nickelback and 3 Doors Down is vastly overrated.
I'd prefer to have few people rate Muse though, the charts do not deserve to have music of that calibre.

Muse pre BDO was ideal for you and me especially in the selfish way we like our music. Muse post BDO is sad to see. I'd prefer to have few people rate Muse though, the charts do not deserve to have music of that calibre. It would be alright if the majority of the CD buying public (who are soon becoming the downloading/burning public) were not idiots. Nickleback/3 doors down for fuck sake! And Evenevanevnevanevanevanescence! Ahhhh my ears! It burns! It burns! But it still rocks. [Triple M]Theres alot of bitteness in me purley due to commercial radio. Australia's alternative slash[/] indie scene is world class (something I realised on Tuesday night after seeing New Buffalo and Cut Copy) yet we get shitty dance music and shitty rock. I can't believe people put up with this shit. ______________________________ What is going on with RJD2. I am definately going. What is going on with 2 many DJ's? I want you to come.

In Men In Black Tommy Lee Jones said something along the lines of, 'A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals.'
As such, Muse has no place among the masses (if the masses want them anyway; I'm looking at you, people who took the Fast Food Rockers to the top of the charts in England). We should feel lucky that we know about them and leave it there.
3 Doors Down shit me greatly also, as do Nickelback (can we throw Linkin Park in the mix, too? Their shit all sounds the same!!)
Sorry about MBFOF (I think I casually said it was on thursday, it was wednesday). It played out pretty much as expected; Steve stops wedding just before saying 'I do', exposing the wedding as a fake; bride's family runs away; producer persuades them to come back (hee); bride reveals to family what's going down, Steve reveals to bride he and his whole family are actors; he promptly doubles the prizemoney awarded to bride and family and all is well. Families also share a laugh at a videotape of early moments in the series (handy for me as I didn't see the first few eps). Thatsa bout it.
There, big post. Active today, aren't we?
